Retrofits for safety technology

Safety-related regulations

The safety regulations and accident prevention regulations in accordance with § 43 of the Ordinance on Industrial Safety and Health (AM-VO) stipulate that machine tools must be equipped with a chuck safety device so that the operator cannot be accidentally injured by the rotating chuck or flying chips and/or liquids during turning, milling, drilling or grinding work.

The chuck safety devices we offer are designed so that they can be retrofitted to almost any machine tool with little effort.
On request, the installation can also be carried out on site by our fitters. All protective devices are made of very high-quality and robust materials and
comply with current safety regulations (CE marking).

Safety retrofitting may include the following upgrades:

1. Installation of a lockable main switch

2. Replacement of non-compliant switches and electrical controls

3. Installation of emergency stop buttons or pull-cord emergency stop

4. Installation of dual-channel safety switches with interlocking

5. Installation of a chuck, operator, and spindle guard

6. Installation of lead and feed screw covers

7. Installation of a motor brake

8. Retrofitting with an electromagnetic spindle brake

9. Retrofitting with work area lighting

10. Retrofitting a machine rear panel

11. Electrical integration of all safety systems into existing control circuits — either conventional or CNC-based — in compliance with current regulations and industry standards.

12. DGUV V3 Inspection and BetrSichV Compliance Testing
